Last Thursday, me and P— attended our fifth trivia night and it had been over a year already since we went to one. The theme was Common Knowledge. One of the early categories was to guess the woman-led movie based on the first scene that was flashed on screen. Ironically enough, the only correct answer I managed to get was of the film that I have not watched yet. Despite the slow start, we managed to catch up and still end up in 2nd place!
This all started off in late 2024 with me randomly seeing a Nintendo themed trivia night and I thought it was something cool to try. We were not expecting much out of it but surprisingly we ended up winning lol. The prize was a bottle of Jack Daniels so I gotta say, that was a pretty good return of investment there. Afterwards, we joined a few more, sometimes with friends but mostly it’s just us two. We usually place second and other time we won again, we got another bottle of whiskey as a prize. I’m definitely on the lookout on the next one that we’ll get to join.
On Friday, a non working holiday, we went to the Flora Filipina Expo which was also the Philippine Orchid Society’s 80th anniverary. The event had an exhibition for various orchids and we used the opportunity to do a mini photowalk. We also got to visit three musuems situated inside QC Circle. And then we finished it off by having lunch at Little India (which was pretty much our go-to restaruant).
